PIPE LAYING & TRENCH PROTECTION

This 40-hour course provides instruction with installation and testing of gravity flow and pressure pipe systems. These pipe-type installations are common in sewer and water line construction projects. Emphasis is placed on OSHA Regulations, which require trench protection systems and the analysis of soil types for trench collapse prevention. Approximately 60% of the training time is devoted to hands-on activities. The use and set-up of pipe laser equipment and general knowledge of line and grade is presented.
