MSHA INITIAL CLASS

The Mine Safety and Health Act requires certification training under the Federal Mine Safety and Health Administration regulations for those that work at underground, and surface mines. This training involves an initial 24-hour hazard awareness class, and an 8-hour annual refresher for those that work on mine property. Employees that would require this training would be those working at quarries, Portland cement manufacturing facilities, cement batch plants, and any surface mines where aggregates are extracted for the construction industry.
