CONCRETE REINFORCING (ROD TYING)

The Concrete Reinforcing course provides the necessary skills, through hands-on application, for workers on the highway to tie steel rebars to specifications.  Six different ties are demonstrated on four separate work stations. OSHA revised Fall Protection Standard (1926.501) is discussed and hook off procedures using the full body harness and positioning devices are demonstrated and used for tying steel on vertical ascents.
